November 5th 2009 in All, School

Fourth stop:  The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary & Southeast Christian Church, Louisville, KY

  • Original strategy was Southeast is light to the city for people to come to.  Dave Stone envisioned more of a going out into the community strategy.
  • Local missions get almost as much budget as foreign missions.
  • Took about a year and a half for someone to go from first visit to joining church or being saved.  They now have several avenues to be assimilated.
  • High school services are on Sunday nights.  They serve somewhere on Sunday mornings.
